Application & Removal

Step 1

Nail prep

Cut your cuticles. File and wash your natural nails. Make sure there’s not any residue on them.

Tip: File the top of your nails a bit to create a rougher surface for the glue to stick on. Make sure you wipe off the excess nail dust.

Step 2

Find the perfect fit

Pick the correct nail size for each finger by “dry-fitting” them. If the size is not quite right, you can carefully file the ELIA nails.

Tip: Make sure the ELIA nail covers your natural nail fully, but doesn't touch the skin on the side - this might make the nails look too big.

Step 3

Glue

Place a small amount of glue on your natural nail and on the ELIA nail. Make sure the glue covers the entirety of your natural nail.

Tip: Start from the pinky fingers and work your way to your thumbs. Leaving your index finger and thumb last makes it easier to place the other nails.

Step 4

Press

By holding from the tip of the ELIA nail, place the nail on your natural nail by pushing it lightly under your cuticle.

Tip: Make sure the ELIA nail is straight and press it firmly with a clean paper towel from the top and both sides to make sure there’s no air left under the nails. The paper towel helps to clean off the excess glue that might come out from the sides.

Step 5

Final touch

If your natural nail is left peeking out from the side, you can carefully file it to tie in with your ELIA nail.

Tip: You can also carefully file the sides of the ELIA nails to make them more flat. This way the ELIA nail "merges" smoothly on your natural nail.

IMPORTANT: Filing might harm some of the nail designs. Please test the filing with an extra nail you will not be using.

All done

Go be your best self!

Keep the leftover nails and glue for any replacements you might need.

Removal

Option 1: Your nails will start to loosen when they are ready to be removed. This is the best time to remove the nails. Usually, the base of the nail near the cuticle is the first spot to start lifting. If the nail lifts, lightly push it up around the edges with fingernails.

Option 2: If you need to remove the ELIA nails while they are still firmly attached, you can try soaking your nails in a mixture of warm water, dish detergent and olive oil to weaken the glue.

Option 3: The last option is to soak your nails in acetone or (nail polish remover with acetone). However, this method can damage the ELIA nail.

PLEASE: Don’t force the nail off as it’s not needed and can damage your natural nail.

Once the nail is off, file any left over glue on your natural nail gently. The remaining residue will wear off after a few hand washes.
